Can someone please help me? I am having a hard time finding out what Mini Kawoja means. My grandmother's name was Julia Mini Kawoja and she married Charles (Campbell) Cordier. At first, all the research that we ran into showed Charles Cordier but now we found a Baptismal on their daughter Cecelia Campbell.

i imagine that the name would be referencing maybe the crossing a river that was difficult.

Mnikoju, is one of the many ways that this word has been written in history. means planters my the stream or river. they were a lakota band that was placed on the Cheyenne River reservation.
